Get Well Soon

A little Get Well Gift for a special little boy. The mom of this little boy was such a blessing to my classroom last year. My students always loved when she came in to read. She has two wonderful boys. Yesterday she mentioned that one wasn't feeling so great. So my boys and I decided he needed something to help him feel a little bit better. Rylan and Trace love to color! So we thought a new coloring book and a new book to read would help! Hope you feel better soon!

Little Inspirations Bookmarks

It's almost time to head back to school. So that means I have started working on back to school baggies for Rylan and Trace's friends. Well, actually just Trace's so far. Trace will return to the same school this year. His bags are a little easier since he attends a Christian school. This year Rylan will attend public school for the first year. That also means I have to alter many of the things have put in the baggies in the past. It won't be that hard (seeing as how I do it for my own classroom). Recently, I was required to stay off my feet and REST! Rest isn't easy when you have two small children! I was having issues with my back so I of course became obsessed with E-bay! While on E-bay I came across a rather old Stampin' Up stamp set called Little Inspirations. The minute I saw it I had to have it. I knew exactly what I would do with it when I had my hands on it! So here is what it did:

The first book mark is stamped in Daffodil Delight. Then it is layered with Brights DSP (Pacific Point) and then on solid Daffodil Delight Card stock. The second bookmark is stamped in Pacific Point. Then it is layered with Brights DSP (Daffodil Delight) and then on solid Pacific Point. These bookmarks will me one of several items to go in back to school goodie bags for Trace's classmates. I will be back soon to share the rest!

Happy Birthday

Daddy's Birthday

Sunday was my dad's birthday. Rylan loves cake so we had to put a cupcake on the front. Trace loves blue so we had to make sure it had the color blue somewhere on the card! Simple but tasteful. We gave me a gift card to eat out, so we made a quick envelope for it.

Strength and Hope

Breast cancer awareness is very dear to me, so of course the Strength and Hope set and the Ribbon of Hope are by far by two favorite stamp sets! Then of course reading is something I absolutely love to do! Since school let out I have read four novels! So with the card I made a bookmark.

Masculine Birthday Card

My father-in-law's birthday was the first week in May. I designed this card to make it look like Rylan and Trace were in the front of the truck. I used the Loads of Love and Loads of Accessories stamp sets.

Retirement

My mom is retiring this year from the school system. She always says that she is not retiring to take care of the grandchildren so I of course had to throw that in there somehow. My dad read the card and immediately thought I was telling them I was pregnant! NOPE, not now! I got the idea for the definition from the Stampin' UP! Define your life set. It has the definition of R as remember!

Making Progress

I have been working on converting my wooden stamps to clear! It has been much easier than I thought it would be. So far I have done 22 "sets". I am considering a set whatever comes in these boxes you see below. That means a set could be 1 stamp or up to 12 in the sets I have done so far. I am getting rid of 12 bulky boxes! Oh, I am going to have so much more room to purchase more stamps! I don't think Brian is going to be too happy about this!

I went from those bulky boxes to this nice slender clear DVD size cases which are only $4.95 for 4 which can be purchased at my Stampin' UP! website 24/7. The item number is 119105.

I still have about 15 more sets to do but I can't believe how fast this is going.

Grab bags will not contain stamp sets or tools. Head over to the online store to get your grab bag today.

Recipe Box

This is by far one of my favorite projects. As you can see I have already made a recipe card to add to the box. Now, I just have to start cooking to make excellent use of my box. When we did this project I took packs of Greenhouse Gala DSP and each lady there designed their own box. I figured if it was going to be something they used on a regular basis they didn't want me to pick the paper for them.

The box I used came from Hobby Lobby, click here for a template for cut outs for the top of the box and the cut out on the front of the box. The "grocery list" is template from Nicole Heady. The little notepads that go inside the "grocery list" I purchased from Papertrey Ink. The recipe on the from of my box is actually a cut out from the Cricut Cartridge "From the Kitchen".

SO THANKFUL!

I am so thankful for Diana Rambles. She did an excellent job making over my blog! Now I will post more often. It was just such a drag to come and post because it just looked so awful. So for the next few days I will be posting a few things I made a while back. Then I will begin posting on a regular basis! I am so excited about the new look!

Valetine Workshop

I think last night's projects were the a hit!

1. The clear DVD case in the back comes from Angie Juda over on http://www.mychicnscratch.com/ . You can check out her design here: http://www.mychicnscratch.com/2010/12/stamp-case-notepad.html . Since we were focusing on Valetine's Day I used the Love Impressions DSP and the XOXO stamp set both found in the Ocassions Mini Catalog. We also used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. Punches used were the 1 3/4 Scallop circle, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Modern Label Punch, and the Word Window Punch. I used real red ink and both real red and basic grey stampin write markers.

2. The glass jar is a starbucks jar washed, cleaned, and reused to make a very nice gift for someone! Here I used the Love Impressions DSP also. I used the large scallop and small scallop cirlce punches. Then I used the 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 circle punches. The stamp is from the XOXO stamp set. The punches are Pink Pirouette, Real Red, and Basic Grey. We used real red paper and punched a 1 3/4 circle to put on the bottle top. The ribbon is not SU ribbon.

3. The middle project uses the Mini Milk Carton Die Cut. The Mini Milk Carrier instructions can be found here: http://www.paperpunchaddiction.com/2010/01/mini-milk-carton-carrier.html

I used the small scallop circle on the handle and then used a 1" circle punch. The mini milk cartons are made from Pink Pirouette Cardstock. Both stamps used come from the Valetine Defined set and are real red in this picture. I closed the milk cartons with the Round Tab Punch.

4. The Hershey Candy Bar holder comes from Michelle http://istampedthat.com/page/2/

Snowman Soup

Just made these for students who earned their December reading counts goals! I changed the original poem to fit what I was using the Snowman Soup for this time! I used the More than Merrier stamp set from last year's Stampin UP! catalog.

Hope you like it!
